Reason I ask is because i'm trying to wire my Radar Detector so that it turns on and off with the engine..

I tried to get slick and use the remote wire from the back of the head unit, but for some reason it wouldn't turn on and that wire should be pushing +12v.. hmm.. SO i tried the red wire (accessory) whenever I plug the radar detector into that wire, the head unit shuts off and wont turn back on till that wire is off its accessory lead. FINE. So I think its broke now and try the yellow +12v incoming wire.. Sure enough pops right up, so now I know the radio doesn't like it connected to the radar detector..

My only alternative is the Cigarette lighter, and i'm hoping it turns off with the engine...
