Help...no spark 1992 h23

I have a 1992 H23. Ran awesome. Had is parked for a month. Charged battery, but wouldnt start after cranking and cranking. Replaced battery and started right up. Drove it a bit and parked it. Now yesterday, tried starting it and nothing. No spark.

Where should I start? Distributor? Particular Sensor? I am not a Prelude guy. New to Prelude world. Love the car and am a good mechanic...so just need some hints or direction to start.

thanks

Main relay, under drivers side dash looking up towards steering column its bolted on and says mitsuba on it.causes no start situations especially if it is hot in the cabin.

I may have this same part failed on mine as well. Where is the best place to order a new one? I believe they call it a combination relay? Mine starts right up but dies while driving. Seems to do it when hot out but then again it could be coincidence that it's doing it in the summer heat now.
Thanks for any info!

MAIN RELAY FUEL INJECTION HONDA PRELUDE S 92-94 95 96: eBay Motors (item 370368001947 end time Jun-18-10 19:27:59 PDT)
You can also take yours apart and resolder the connectors, the soldering points crack and seperate from the board with heat over the years, thats why it wont start when its hot inside the car but will later when is cools off.

Shawn F. I would change out that fuel filter and get your alternator tested before you look at the relay, the relay wont cause the car to shut off only not starting is the problem. Had this sucker go out on me when i lived in florida during the summer. I would have to open the car doors up and let the air blow uner the dash before the relay cooled enoufgh to make contact and finally start.

Skyyskyy
thanks for the info. that was the ticket. pulled the relay out of my 95 prelude, plugged it into the 92 and it started right up!
Another ? for you. When the car is idling...it revs from 1600 rpm to about 2500 rpm and then back down, then back up and back down. is that my mass flow sensor or something else?

thanks steve

Unplug the electrical connector not the coolant lines going to it. If thats is the problem some people have had luck cleaning them and they work again but i have had no such luck and just pick one up off ebay or a salvage yard.
