Help with new clutch setup

My clutch with about 10000 miles on it needs replacement. When the car is cold the clutch feels fine but when it runs for a while, it starts to slip and it won't engage to a point where I cant even get it to stall. when i rev it in gear it creeps along. Funny thing is I don't smell any clutch buring or any smoke. I was hoping it would be a clutch adjustment that would fix it but now my dealer tells me i need a new clutch, throw out bearings, flywheel, misc parts. I want to keep it reliable more than just for race. Should I pay the dealer $1000 for a new clutch and install (400 parts/600 labor) or should I take it to a shop for a new aftermarket (act/CM) clutch? Anyone in so cal know of good shops that installs clutches? I feel like the dealer is chargin too much and at that rate, maybe I can get aftermarket stuff and install for about the same or cheaper. Is this possible? I was thinking oem flywheel and ACT or CM (not extreme race parts) to keep it simple.
Any suggestions?
thanks

If it's not meant for racing the exedy organic is nice. You can probably just have the flywheel resurfaced if you don't want to go for a fidanza or the new chromoly one that R and D is selling.
