Help needed-clutch Master
After reading all the how-to-s on replacing the clutch master cylindar I decided to jump in and replace mine, it was leaking
The car's new to me so don't know if it's orginal,(doubt it with 134 on the car- from what I've read master normally doesn't last that long.)
After all how hard can removing a cotter-pin, two bolts, and a fulid line be? The bleeding's the hard part, right?
Wrong- the DAMN MUTHER**** SON OF BIT**** siezed cotter-pin is.
After fighting with this for way toooooo long I decided to just take the entire clutch pedal off, actually not very difficult, except for the nut that decided to fall down behind the carpet next to the fuse box-figures
A word of advice to anyone doing their own replacement, take your foot-rest off, it'll give you some much needed room.
Anyhow here's my problem-removing the pedal requires removing the pedal tension spring,(I didn't pay close enough attention when I was popping this off-had had enough of bending over backwards crawled up under the dash looking like some kinda circus act)
I belive I put it back on correctly but am not positive-anyone with a 5 speed care to tell me how's yours is put in-which direction is the coil facing? Better yet anyone have a camera and willing to take a couple pics.
Well tomorrow I get to tackle the slave and do some bleeding(mostly my knuckes)
Any and all help is welcome
Thanks
