HELP! My h22 is not firing on the 3rd piston

For those who missed my other topic, I just rebuilt my motor with Darton sleeves, JE 9.0:1 pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, Skunk 2 cam gears and a number of other parts but after going through a number of issues with my machine shop not setting my timing exactly right on my motor and having my valves to tight, everything seemed ok after a number of adjustments until I received a v/ml from my mechanic today saying that my motor is not firing on the 3rd piston.
He said he changed the spark plug and the wire but its not correcting the problem. It was right before they closed and he said he had some other ideas but what do you think? I am hoping that my motor is not toast. I just pumped 7K into the motor excluding my turbo stuff.

Thanks

It's not firing as in there's no spark? That's odd.

I'd guess it's got to be a problem with the dist. cap. Since the other 3 are firing, it's obviously not a problem with the dist. itself, the coil, or the dist. rotor.

How was compression????

If compression is OK then its got be be something with either
fuel or spark

I would check compression and possibly a leakdown test.

Were you getting a cel?

Alright, here we go again. It looks like once again everything has been figured out. I just spoke with my mechanic (johnny) and he has isolated the problem to a bad "injector wire" on injector #3. He said he could swap the injector wire from # 2-3 and two would be dead but three would work. Johnny looked at the wire but nothing looked immediatly wrong so he is going to trace the wire through the harness and see if he can find the spot where its messed up. Hopefully its not to far down, I am not really sure where that injector wire leads to. Any ideas???

Other than that, the motor is running just fine now. He has my new clutch bled and radiator filled up so hopefully i can go by and pick my car up today. Granted my compression is 8.6:1 but I havent driven it in more than two months so I cant wait to sit in it! Next week comes the body kit then the week after next comes the Drag 4 turbo install with a hondata system.

Take care.
Jonathan

FYI - My mechanic just called and after he finished playing a DIRTY JOKE!!! by stating my motor siezed and made this loud pop he finally said that everything is cool. He went through the harness and found where the wire was slightly shaved near the back of the motor. He fixed it and he said that after he adjusts my valves I will be able to pick up my car today. Johnny also said that my orginal ECU was fine and that after he fixed that injector wire the ECU stopped throwing codes. I CANT WAIT TO GET MY CAR! I will start posting pictures here soon.
