like i said im new how bout a lil help instead of bein a dick i for its a 2.2 SR and i have googled and found a few for the 95 vtech and like i said i found the jdm brand but i want to go with a good brand im tryin to make sure that once im done no1 will call it a ricer
More advice:
1. It's spelled VTEC.
2. We have an excellent F/I forum. You need to spend some time in there. Every question you could ever have has been answered numerous times.
3. I don't think, with what you've said so far, that you're even the slightest little bit ready to dump the huge amounts of time and money into properly turbocharging your car. Worrying about whether or not people 'call you a ricer' is the least of your troubles when installing a turbo.
Ok fine. Avoid anything by the brand name JDM. Avoid ebay for upgrades. Decide what you want to do with your car, do you want to turbo or just an intake? Lastly... search.

Well no matter what you do to the car someone will call it ricer so it inevitable.
I don't know if you truly got a deal with your car. The SR model is supposed to have a 2.3 in it not a 2.2 so either you have the 2.2 sohc motor or the 2.2 dohc vtec. We don't know because you haven't given us any background. We can't recommend any turbos for your car for a lot of reasons. We don't know anything about your car and your goals. We also can't recommend any parts because we don't know what you want out of the car.
The 4th gen prelude is so old you can find just about everything about it if you take the time to search and read the forums. I suggest you go to the naturally aspirated forum read up then go into the forced induction forum and do some more.

Unless you have a Ford Lightning. JDM Engineering is reputable source for the Lightning community.

I'm going to be really honest here. If you want to turbo your car, you should buy another car as a daily driver. Not saying it can't be done. It's just that you're going to be faced with days where the car won't be running for whatever reason.
yea i thought about that, like i said iv been browinsing all day im at work in a call center and i sit on the internet 8 hrs a day so i am kinda gettin what i nned to stat with and work my way to as i get a lil experience and knowledge under my belt.

i really cant decide on the first mod i want to start i know its not gonna be the turbo now it was ignorant of me to get ahead of myself what do yall suggest i start with i was thinking a intake but which cold air or short ram
Just be aware that most of the basic bolt-ons you'll see will not be used once the turbo is installed. (intake/header/exhaust) If you're serious about going the turbo route, I suggest bypassing all the basics. Just spend the cash on turbo parts, and piece the setup together.
well how much money do you want to spend? lol. you can get a greddy for the si (h23a1) for about 3500 (which is worth more than our cars) or you can get a 91-99 eclipse manifold and turbo (around 150 for both). but there would be alot of work. the manifold doesnt line up perfectly with the studs on the head but the ports do. so dremeling would be present. then you would have to make your down pipe, which isnt hard... then you would have to have all the accessories to make it work... i calculated it once and it was gonna cost around a grand to get it all. but the fact that i could only run 4-5 pound made me wanna stick with n/a. oh, and the 14b on a eclipse isnt to small for the h23.

lol, i dont really know that much... im 18 and still in school. i was just obsessed with turboing the lude when i got it when i was 14. but h23 ludes can only put out around 210 hp SAFELY with a tune turboed, stock. cause 1 psi equals (very roughly) 10whp or so... so 5psi x 10=50 and 50hp + 160hp =210hp give or take. IF you do plan to turbo it, plan on spending around 1200 for bottem end **** or it will never hold up.
