help me!

was washing car and i look at my rear bumper and its rough and not shiny and smooth in one part. I got it repainted during the summer, is the clearcoat coming off for some reason in this place? its rough to the touch like its painted but not clear coated. Any suggestions?

I think you're right. Has it always been like this?

A lot of cars come like that... I'm not sure if the 4th gen is like that, but it has something to do with protecting the car against gravel

mine is too, almost matte finish one spot and shiny in another, I believe the former owner put a crappy spray job on it and yeah its probably the clearcoat. I've also got white dots in my paint, which I believe was caused by buffing before the clearcoat dried. Not cool.

im going to complain to the guy who did my bumper few months back... mayb he'll do it again, whattya think? also just got my quarterppanel done and on my trunk there are a lot of rough gray dots that won't come off... i thought they were tar but tar comes off w/ scratching -- could this be overspary from another car? should i go to the people who did my quarter panel to get this fixed?

If you ordered the paint job you should make sure its good. I had my bumper painted and a month later a huge bubble pupped up and cracked the paint! They are now repainting the whole thing for free, even the driveway scratches
