HELP!!! I screwed up my timing!

Okay, when I took off the distributor of my JDM H22, I wasn't thinking and I was just messing around with the rotor. Now I don't know which way it is supposed to be inserted into the camshaft. Is there a way to fix this or am I screwed...

There is only one way you can reinstall the distributor into the head. If you look at the key on the dist you will see that it is slightly off center. The end of the exhaust cam is the same way. Just try to reinstall the dist and turn it until it snaps into place. You will still have to reset the timing.

HTH,

if you took the rotor off, you may have put it on backwards, one way it will start the other it wont. so if it doesnt start, take the rotor back off and put it back on opposite of what it was... i did this and spent like 2 hours trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with my car, till i flipped the rotor around
