i my engine dynoed and the out come is very disappointing numbers.
here's my setup h22a with type-s piston and milled head and no bolt in staff no header etc. the #' are 161hp and trq is 138.8 or is this
an adequate #'s for this kind of setup.
i need u'r input guys
thanks
I would say no. Type-s + milled head should put you CR near 11.5 or higher....which should get you 15 whp or so gain. If you were running at 145hp before I think there's a problem. Do you have more details of the run? Are these SAE numbers?
yeah! my base was 149.6hp and trq 116
ok here my complete setup
milled head 20k
type-s piston
hondata p72 ecu stage 2 setup (run like crap)
ignition box 6al
timing at 25+ advance
FPR at 41 psi
ACT clutch
bone stock head no cam and camgear
no intake no header
compression test
#1 pstn 240
#2 pstn 240
#3 pstn 235
#4 pstn 240
hey!sata_srv
i have my dyno sheet with me can i email it to u and post it here for every one to look at
did they tune your hondata? those things are very nice but if not tuned right, they can hurt your numbers. if they didnt mess with the hondata, id guess that to be what is hurting you. your compression check looks awesome. are there any other symptoms of the lack of power?
did they "tune" it or just throw in a h22 map and send you on your way? if they did, i suggest you go knock all their teeth out. hondata tuning should take at least 2 hours to get it to where it needs to be. a base map is no good unless you just want to be able to start up your car, it will offer no performace advantage
Also looking at your setup I have a couple questions.
You have Hondata Stage 2, but also an FPR and your timing advanced. You shouldn't even need this stuff if the Hondata is properly tuned, should you? Hondata is all custom fuel maps and timing, so why would modify it again with the FPR and static timing?

Horry Chit!! Isn't that an aweful lot of timing advance? Sounds like way too much to me... Isn't it normally about half of that? And then on top of that, you have a least 1.5-2.0 more points static compression... Wouldn't you need to retard timing a bit for that kind of setup?

yaeh lawrence tuned my ecu....rite now its running ok but sometime my idle goes down almost to the point that it will die out on me so i have to press on the gas to go back to stock idle.
just now my friend checking out my ecu..... swaping stock gsr and sknk 2 gsr and hondata gsr.
i don't know what goin on but the stock gsr and the sknk 2 ecu is working great compare to hondata WTF.
the stock gsr idle fine but vtec suck! lag at 4500 rpm
the sknk works great but i need more power
HELP

try retarding your timing man, that will make a world of difference,
im running a JDM P72 right now and it runs the car great!! i had a usdm P72 with hondata and vtec was tuned so it kicked ass but the rest of the ecu ran like crap!! boggy as hell. but on the jdm one is was boggy too until i rolled my distributor back and retarded timing, and whoa what a difference, anyways im gonna switch the hondata over on to this one and just tweek it.

check out www.importreview.com they did a comparison between a gsr vs. h22 ecu, the dyno graphs between the is insane, exactly what you said about 4500 rpms....
