help with gas pedal.....

i bought some new pedals to make it easier to heel-toe, they're wider which helps. anyways.....they require drilling. the clutch pedal and the brake pedal were kinda difficult to drill, but i eventually got the holes drilled and the pedals in place. i had to go and buy smaller bolts so they wouldn't hit the connector rod thingys in the back. my problem now is that the gas pedal is not just a solid flat metal pedal. its like a form pressed thing type deal. when you remove the stock pedal covers, its hollow (gas pedal) and nothing really to drill into to fasten the pedal covers down. these aren't the ones where it sandwiches the pedal in between. im kinda stuck...if you've ever seen the 4th gen gas pedal without the lil plastic cover thing on it, you know what im talking about. so im just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem, and the way you got around it.

my current options are...either epoxy the pedal down, or epoxy a piece of sheet metal to it, them fasten the pedal to that......

My MOMO pedals were the drill in place kind. I ended up having the same problem....here is what I did

Don't use the screws that come with the pedals...go to a hardware store and buy some tapered machine screws where the head is the same size. Might cost you a buck. Then drill pilot holes where you wannt to mount the pedals smaller then the machine screws

Once you drilled the holes just screw in the screws, because they are tapered they will lock into place the harder you turn

-------. wow, that must really suck having a problem with pedal covers. I'm currently looking into buying a set and did not realize that installation is a pain ina ass. WOULD anyone know which brand would be the best in terms of comfort and locks the pedal in between the 2 plates instead of actually drilling a hole in a pedal.
thanx
