Can someone please scan the pages for the "Roof Wire Harness" on page 23 and tell me what harness the "Front fog light switch" is. On the 93 prelude it is on the "Dashboard Wire Harness" but for the 94-96 prelude, I am guess it should be on the "Left side Wire Harness"
Okay...this is what I am trying to figure out. the 92-93 prelude has the fog light connector on the "Dashboard wiring harness". Where is it located in the 94-96 prelude.
I know it is in the center console but what wiring harness.

This is what I need to be verified.
On the 92-93 prelude the "Fog light connector" -lack of a better term- is part of the "Dashboard Wire Harness". On the 94-96 prelude, the "Fog light connector" is located in the center console but, what "Wiring harness" is it part off.
I am guessing it is part of the "Left side Wire Harness" but, I am not sure. So can someone check the helms chapter under "Electrical" and the section should be "Connector Identification and Wire Harness Routing"

The foglight connector is not listed in the helms. It looks like it's the left side wire harness since the hazard, mirror connector and parking brake harnesses are part of the left side wire harness. It's definitely not the right side harness. Left side is the best bet. I don't know why it's not listed? This is coming from a 94 helms

Thanks for looking but that is weird that it is not listed on the left side harness.

From the diagram it only shows the hazard and mirror harness. I just looked in my car and I saw that the foglight harness is winded up with the other 2 harnesses. No other diagram comes near to the location where the foglight harness should be except left side.
Okay....now this is what I am trying to figure out. I did the EL guage swap on my 93 prelude, so I no longer have the fog light harness behind the tweeter cover but, I am thinking about getting some fog light. What are my options
I did the same thing. I have OEM fog lights on my car stock. I did the EL guage conversion so I lost the harness behind the tweeter cover. I have the new harness for the new fog light switch that goes on the console for the 94-96 ludes. There are three wires that come from that harness. An orange, red/yel, and red/grn. I need to find out where to wire those 3 wires to. Anyone know?

I did not mean to confuse you but, here is a question....
do you have the entire side wiring harness or just the fog switch and the connector with 3 wires?
I just have the fog switch and the connector with 3 wires. But I already swapped out the dash harness for the EL guages. Are you telling me I will need to swap out another wiring harness besides the dash harness (Left Wiring Harness)?

You could but, that is too much work. This is a response I received from FGarcia1

As for the wiring, you should have five pins on the back of the switch:
Code:
1 2 3 4
- - - -
-
5
Pins 1 and 4 each get power when the headlights come on. Pins 2 and 5 are each ground. Pin 3 is the tricky one....
Pin 3 is activated whenever there is power to the switch (when the headlights come on) and when the switch is pressed; it activates the relay. The way I did it was to splice the wire from pin 3 into the relay.
The relay has 3 red/yellow wires going into it. You need to remove one of these red/yellow wires and replace it with a wire going from pin 3 on the switch to a red/yellow wire going into the relay; one of the other red/yellow wires is then grounded. Unfortunately, I don't remember which red/yellow wires to manipulate.
Now, ignore the second(2) and forth(4) pin from the above statement because you have the connector with 3 wire at pin 1, pin 3, and pin 5.
Now this is what I was going to do. I was going to wire the 3 wires from the fog switch directly to the fog relay wires.
This is what I think but I m not sure........hypothetical thinking

Yes, I received the jdm switch and it came with the connector......
the connector has wires on pin 1, pin 3 and pin 5. The wire attached to them are for pin 1, red/blk, for pin 3, red/yel and for pin 5, black.
I checked the online prelude manual at page 4, location 3c and it had a schematic of the relay. 2 Red/Yel, a Red/Grn and a Blu/Red.
After reading that page and your reply this is what I came up with
This is all based on the schematics from the 4th gen online manual and knowing I have not seen the fog relay connector, FGarcia1 raise a question

Almost every wiring diagram I've seen of the Prelude says there are only 2 red/yellow wires, but that's not correct: there are, indeed, 3. Unless my car is a freak or something, you should see 2 red/yellow wires going into the same pin on the relay, and a third red/yellow wire going into a different pin. So you will need to figure out which is which. If I get a chance, I will try and look at mine and I will let you know what the deal is...
So, I am just waiting to find out if there are 2 red/yell wires or 3 red/yell wires on the fog relay connector.
