Hi, I was hoping someone had the same problem before. I think I might of messed up my heater control unit when I pushed the knob to the cold side and I heard a bit of a snap, this was a while back in the summer when I needed AC to be cold cause I live in the south. Now it's a bit chilly and I need to defrost my windshield so I need the heat to work. The blower motor is fine but the air is cold. I push the knob back to the hotside and I can see the cable extending and retracting but still only cold air. Someone told me to check my coolant levels which I did, seem okay to me. I haven't used the heat in my car for almost 2 years so is it perhaps seized up somewhere. Should I replace the heater core unit along with the hoses? I was hoping for an easy fix but doesn't look simple to replace this thing.

check behind the fuel injection and verify that the valve is opening and closing...

if the valve was closed probably you could have a clog in the hose before the valve (at least that happens to me).
