Are you guys serious? That thing is JDM, i remember a post like this before where someone made a vinyl sticker that fit over the 3rd brake light with prelude written in translucent window ....
I doubt that is really JDM?

I'm sorry but neither of those post actually proves that's a JDM piece, i read every reply to those thread....
And AZ just stated that he has a third brake light and does not have writing on them... he's from austrailia... can I get UK Lude's opinion in here too?

I got it!!! Yes!!!! And yeah, it is JDM, I've seen the threads here, plus I've never seen any others like it on a USDM Prelude. I don't think it was an option or anything....
Could I have made the same thing out of vinyl or even paper? Probably, yeah, but I would prefer to have the real thing. I might just remove the black plastic trim and put it on my current brake light so I don't have to mess with the wiring, if that's possible....
Now, you may question the price I'm about to pay: $73 + 20 odd dollars for shipping, total coming to damn near $100 (other bidders came really close to my final bid, so it wasn't like I was the only one). However, bear in mind:
1--I love the damn Prelude, and want to get the best for it,
2--Because I've worked since high school and live with my parents while I go to college, I've saved a lot of money and I hardly ever spend any of it on myself. The Prelude is all I really have to treat myself with (no GF, which must save me a ton). I have more than enough saved from working to pay for school, so why not treat myself like this?
3--My little bro graduated today, he got a party. When I graduated, I got sent to summer school. This is my graduation gift to myself.
okay thanks..... none of those pics in the threads you posted were working, i guess that's a plus....

$100!!!!!!!! Are you insane man??? I could have bought one a couple of weeks back from a guy near me who was parting out his totalled JDM 4th gen, I offered him £5 for it but I couldn't be bothered to remove it I'm sure it was still in the car when the salvage company took what was left away.
ha ha!!1 i sold mine on ebay last year for $300! i had it connected for a while, then took it out and sold it when i needed money.
here's what it looks like lit up

Maybe. I still want it, and like I said, I have plenty of extra money to spend on myself. Spending $100 occasionally doesn't hurt me at all.
As for it being illegal, we have pretty lax cops here in Santa Barbara, so I'll take my chances. I may remove the greenish tint, though, I think a simple red might look better.....
