im getting my xenon installed tomorrow and i want him to set it up a special way. i got a h4 low beam kit (no high beam) so this is my question. should i get it set up so then when i turn on my high beam, it turns on my h1 lights? or should i get the high beam switch to do nothing and instead have the h1 set up on a switch so that i can turn them on seperately from the xenon when i dont feel like putting the xenon on.
is there a way to get the best of both worlds? such as the h1 will turn on when i put on the high beam, but its still able to turn on and off by a switch in my car. when i say switch, i mean a button like a button you would use to turn on fog lights.

lol, im trying to have a serious convo here! ur a nut case!
i guess ill have to ask the guy doing the wiring if its possible. but if its not, what do u think i should chose. the switch or using the h1 from the stick?
you can do that yourself thats the easiest thing to do. i wired mine like this: i got a heavy duty socket for the h4, and connected the pos low beam wire, to one prong, the pos highbeam wire to the other prong, and the ground of the low beams to the 3rd prong, using the heavy duty socket ( so that the high wattage dont melt it). so when i turn on my lows, they are on, as i pull the switch to turn on the high beams, they come on also, and the low beams stay on too. As for h1s, i baught a fog light kit with a relay and a swtich, and wired them to that switch that came with it. I then wired the pos wire of the switch to the cigarrate lighter wire under the radio ( its a blue and white wire . I always leave the swtich of the fog light kit open so that my h1s are always on, cause wiring it to the cig lighter wire, causes the switch to be powered only when the instruments are on. So basically i have them wired as daytime running lights. They, when then Accessory I is on, then lights are on, but i can always turn em off with the swtich if i dont want them on ( lets say just listening to radio without the car on so that the battery doesnt get drained). So, the switch is always on for the h1s, and they light up as i start or turn off the car. works great. Also is good so that i dont have to turn on the instruments during the day.

hmm, thats interested. i wish i could do all this stuff myself, but as it turns out, i suck at electrical stuff. i got the kit installed today and it looks badass! i just told him to set it up normally with the h1s turning on when the high beam turns on. he wanted an extra $85 to set up the h1's on a seperate switch, so i just said **** it.
damn man, its so easy, but 85 bucks is a lot. all it cost me was 30 bucks for the fog light wiring kit from autozone, and aobut 45 mins to wire properly and hide all the wires. ah well just im me, and i ll explain to u how i did it. The kit i got is so simple, all you really have to do is wire the h1s, pos and neg to the harness provided, and whatever is black, you ground or wires str8 to the bat, and whatever is red to the pos of the battery. Then wire the red wire of the switch to the cig lighter if u want them to come on when u start the car and u r done. the rest is just hidin the wires. the kit includes the wiring harness, the swtich, and the relay.
