Headlight Bulbs

Ok, I dunno if this is just me, I bought some 9006 Xenon Bulbs, I goto install these suckers, and they don't plug into the low beams! So I take a look at the low beams and they are 9005s, So im like jesus the guy sold me the wrong ones.

Can I modify the 9006s to fit 9005?

Umm are you trying to put them in the highbeam spot???

9006 = low = outside
9005 = high = inside

Buy the 9006 and keep the highs. You won't go wrong. I have xenon bulbs

The entire light should be on when you turn the brights on bothe low beam and high beam. Just the outside lights turn on when you are running your lows. I'm kinda confused about what you are asking.

I got it. Your wires are ba$$ ackwards. You have to change the plug spot on the housings.

It sounds like, since he is in Canada, he has daytime running lights, which might be his high beams (inner housings). The low beams are the outer housing and use (at least on my USDM car) 9006. My interior housings use 9005 and are for my high beams.

I imagine that the daytime running lights are a low power high beam that switches off when the low beams are turned on.

That's why you are confused...your DRL are in the highbeams, in the inside...low voltage.

Your low beams are on the outside, and that's all they do...
