Headlight beam adjustment

I did a search and found this thread:

need help adjusting headlight beam

with jtcdudeman who posted this:

Its really easy... Theres a phillips screw driver needed and a good wall.... Thats all... First line u car up about 20 ft from the wall and turn your lights on... Pop your hood... Take that phillips head screw driver and put it in the hole and screw it to adjust the angle at which they shine... The screw is located right where the headlight meets the fender(which means side one)... Its on the outside side of the car and at the top of the light housing... Its a trick to get this screw to pop free from its black plastic housing, so dont worry about that.... If you look at the rear of the lights you cna see this big shiny screw sticking out... If you cant find this big screw attached anywhere, then good luck figuring out how to use a screw driver... After everything is said and done you adjust the lights so that they shine on the wall just right and add distance to your visibility w/o blinding everyone else ont eh road... Also, keep them shining at the same height or close to it if possible... Kinda ghetto having one blind ppl while the other shines 2 ft in front of the car.... I'll post a pic of the screw for all the idiots in the morning if someone else hasnt taken care of it by then!

I was wondering if anybody can snap a quick pic or two of where the screw is located?

Thanks in advance

im assuming u have usdm headlights. i just happen to have my usdm headlights in my closet, so i took a look at them. if u look at the back of the high beam bulb compartment. youll see a white piece on the back of the headlight next to the high beam compartment of where u put in ur bulb. put in a long phillips screw driver into that white piece and turn clockwise or counterclockwise and see which way helps you. maybe ill creat a thread with instructions to adjust the beam pattern on usdm and jdm lights. let me know if counterclockwise or clock wise raises or lowers the headlight beam.

edit, i may have made a mistake. im not sure which screw adjusts up and down, but i reread what u posted and if its the screw they are talking about, u shouldnt have a prob at all. if you look at the drivers side headlight from the front of the car, pop the hood, and look to the right of the top of the headlight. you will see a screw in plain sight, you cant miss it. theres three clips on the top of the headlight. its right on top of the clip on the farthest right.

I beleive that is what I found as well for adjusting the headlights, top right / top left (outermost closest to fenders) when looking at the car front on ...

I did a search on this before and couldnt find anything and I think its because a lot of people have asked how to do it with JDM headlights where the screws are on the back of the headlight for adjusting beam height.

Its one of those things that should ahve been done long ago, that take 3minutes but I never did .. heh

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html

This is mostly concerning european headlights, but there is a lot of good info about exactly where to aim the lights...

Ok just came back from doing it. The screw was directly in plain sight when looking at the headlights from the front of the car. I guess it's the only easy thing Honda allows us to do .

For those who need further clarification, this pertains for USDM headlights only.

1)Look directly at the headlight from the nose of the car.

2)Since the headlight assembly is made up of 2 pieces,
a)For the right side, look at the main housing.
a1)On the right side, and on the top of the main housing,
there is a philips head screw encased in a black housing.

b)For the left side, look at the main housing.
b1)On the left side, and on the top of the main housing, (just
like the right) there is a philips head screw.

3)Turn the screw clockwise to raise the aim, and counter
-clockwise to lower the aim

It's as simple as that
