header scrape

Just for the moderators sake I did a search before posting I have a dc header on my lude and I noticed something disturbing the other day when I looked underneath my ride. I saw a scrape on the bottom of my header. The problem is my lude isn't even lowered yet. I am sure this is a common problem if there is a archived thread What is it? If not what have you guys done? I was thinking of rigging up some kind of skid plate? What do ya think?

I have DC's as well and they are scraped on the bottom.. I think that it is inevitable, you can try and avoid scraping them, but if you are lowered then it is bound to happen someday.

DC doesnt give a skid plate with there header... but it would be a nice idea.

My header isn't scraped, and I'm lowered even. I take steep driveways at an angle if possible.

me lowered = wrecked downpipe

I'd worry less about the scrape, and more about the beating your flex pipe will take....if the DC has one i should say.

My stock flex pipe got a hole in it after a couple years of lowered abuse...I only scraped a few times really...but enough that the mesh came apart.
