head gasket questions

So i have a blown head gasket on my stock h23a1 and my mechanic friend said there is no difference in headgaskets and said that since i only have a CAI I should just buy a cheapy head gasket off ebay for 20.00.

All my friends a recommending that I buy a "racing head gasket" like they use on there Forced induction engines.

Is there a difference?

seems to me i should get the stock gasket.

Do any of them last longer than the others???

Tell this guy to put his tools down and step away from the vehicle he's working on.

if you a buy this so called "racing headgasket", i guess it would be better, but why buy it if you're not going Forced Induction.

Your best bet is to buy an OEM headgasket. No sense going "cheap" on a vital part of your motor.
