Having problems installing headers.

I have a Hytech Headers for my h22a 4th gen. How the hell you suppose to get it in. I took out the subframe, tranny motor mounts. Try to put the engine in an angle to put it in and now its stuck. Getting aggravated. arghhh

Picture should b up tomorrow.

Thanks in advance,
Lynn Lee

P.S. How did you guys get yours in your 4th Gen?

should be the same as a fifth gen, right? My Hytech (V.2) header also required some work. I had to bend the lip of the front subframe so it would rub, then I shave this worthless piece that sticks out off the block so it would rub against the runner. But putting it in wasnt hard, all i did was remove the subrame and radius rods off the lca, (didnt have a front mount so no prob there) and slip it in from the bottom...g/l?

Yeah, another thing is make SURE you have the slip joint ALL the way together, I commonly see people complaining about things like ground clearance and it's because they don't have them all the way together. How I do it(taken out multiple times for heat wrapping) is like said above, undo front motor mount from block, undo radius rods from LCA, remove center beam from subframe then unbolt the front crossmemeber and drop it down. Then pull both radiator fans from the bottom and you'll have tons of room to get it up in there. I have a lift and air tools at work so made it easy, just tedious having to remove so much.

What helps to get the slip joints all the way together is to use the bolts that hold them to pull it closer together.

Sigh....

Good news, I got it in....
Bad news, I just find out it was from a civic h22swap. So I had to grind out a piece of subframe. No more front motor mount. lmao. Going to do a custom mount. Good game. Thanks though guys, much appreciation.

P.S. It wasnt a Hytech. It was 1320 Camp headers.
