Just out of curiousity who would be interested in a harness bar for the 4th gen ludes. Think of it like a roll cage, only it's just there so you can safely install aftermarket seatbelts. You'd also be about to mount a camera to it! Here is a link to some information on one for Integras.
I'd be interested. Most of the Harness bars I've seen have been adjustable in some way, and therefore "universal" I would NOT be interested in that sort of 2 piece bar

Where pray tell do you hook them up then? because if they don't come off the seat back straight then your risking your life. If they come down at an angle, when you get in an accident the belts will pull you down into the seat possibly compressing your spine. That's why you need a harness bar.
ioport makes a harness bar that can be used for a fourth gen with stock seats....perfect for autocross but does not offer any sort of rollover protection...

Ummm...Takatas come w/ eyelet screws that mount into the rear seatbelt component holes once you remove them. I doubt that a company as prestigious or noteworthy as Takata would issue mounting hardware that would ultimately put their users at serious risk. And plus, how in the world could a harness that is guided through guide holes in a seat like the Recaro SRD compress your spine if the harness mounted down at an angle behind the seat? This would mean that A) you'd have to have shoulders higher than the guide holes, which would probably negate the saftey of the harness in the first place, and B) the seat below the guide holes would have to be crushed before your spinal cord, and that is pretty unlikely.
Peace,
J

Granted I may very well be the tallest guy on this board, but my shoulders sit a few inches above the holes in SRDs. Takata makes universal belts and they sell them that's it. It's your responsibilty to install them corectly. If you have them anchored at a low angle your risking your safety. No exceptions. Go read the rules from ANY governing body of organized racing and in there it'll say what angle and were you have to mount harnesses.
You CAN'T install them at the wrong angle w/ the eyelet screws, unless you're retarded & miss the threaded holes created by removing your rear seatbelt components and end up drilling your own somewhere else--that's what I'm trying to say. People all over the world use Takatas safely in many types of racing events w/o using a harness bar.
