hard starting in the morning

I live in los angeles, so I dont' think its the weather. There's a new distributor cap and wires and plugs just recently added. I dont' know why my car starts so hard in the morning or when I dont' drive it for a while, say when I get off work having it parked for 8 hours. What do you guys think is the problem? Alternator? Battery?, I dont 'know.

um, there's no griding. The only thing I notice other than the hard starting in the morning is the battery light indicator blinks while it try's to start then when it starts it would go out. Remember this is only in the morning or a start after a long park. Otherwise its fine.

Premimum fuel is harder to ignite. I notice my car sometimes takes a sec to start. As long as it still starts fine I wouldn't worry.
