Hard shifting into 1st & sunroof motor problems

I've been having a problem with my 93' lude and have no clue what it could be. Happened to me in other cars as well. Sometimes it's just hard to shift into first if I'm at a light or stop sign. Like it doesn't go in all the way or something and I would have to shift into 2nd then back into first and it would be all good again. Was wondering if changing my tranny fluid would help?

Also does anyone know where I can get the sunroof motor? And how hard is it to replace? Is it plug and play since mine is crapping out.

Thanks in advance.

the sunroof motor is fairly easy to replace
does your clutch pedal have any play or soft spots while pressing?
i would think right off top either clutch master or slave cylinder could be weak or you got some air in the lines

Thanks for the reply. My clutch pedal feels fine, no soft spots. Do you know where I can get a sunroof motor?

^The dealer.

Tranny is probably fine, its normal for it to sometimes do that. As for the sunroof, I thought mine was crapping out until I cleaned the tracks and sprayed red grease in them, now it opens and closes just fine.

Oh alright cool. Thanks. Is there a guide as to how to take the sunroof off to clean the tracks or do I not need to take it off to clean it?

Oh sorry but I got another question. All my air vents seem to be working fine except my driver one. The one that's on the door. No air is coming from it. Any reason as to why?

You don't need to remove the roof panel to clean the tracks. Just get some brake clean, a rag and a flat head, spray tracks and put the rag on the end of the flat head screwdriver and scrape it up and down the track. Then spay red grease in the tracks and see if that helps make it move the speed it should, did for me.

Remove the door panel and check the ducting, also there is a duct that runs under the driver dash, it's an easily noticed black tube. Another thing would be in the door jamb, should be a big rubber seal for when the door shuts.

Alright thanks. I haven't gotten to cleaning the tracks yet since it's been raining. I'll clean it probably tomorrow and let you know if I need it or not.

Update: I changed the tranny fluid today with Honda Genuine and now it shifts like butter. No more shifting into 2nd then 1st. Bad news is brakes are making weird noises, but it shouldn't be anything big. Gonna look at it tomorrow.
