h23a1 crower stage 1 camshafts

i got a deal on the camshafts because i was the first to buy the stage 1 cams and the second overall to purchase h23a1 camshafts. the stage 1 run for 400 bucks. should produce up to 10 hp and should span the power curve.

Why not stage 2 out of curiosity? Reliability issues?

so I guess my old question is answered now. We do need to degree the cam, so this isn't a drop in install right?

or more importantly, he wants as close to stock idle, but still make some power. Hell, if I'd have gotten 10 hp out of my near-$400 DC header, I'd have been excited about buying it lol. What other mods do you have on your car?

Very nice, someone finally bought a set. I'd like a set but I don't have 400 to spare at this time.

ludeandcrude- what 4thGenReady2Go said.
and i also asked bryan, from crower, about tunning the cams( w/ cam gears and safc ) and he said i would not get nothing much from tunning. hope that answered your question.

irishpilot- i dont think i have to degree the cams, im not sure. and yeah ill dyno those bad boys .

if y'all have more technical questions i suggest you call crower at (619) 661-6477 and ask for bryan. hope that was helpfull, lates.

nice man... so the stage 2 cams were the same price right? So I guess that Crower is saying that there is no tuning neccessary, so that is good.

LudeandCrude, You make a good point, I am starting to wonder about that too.

I cant wait to hear your review.

^^^ camshafts are the same price but you would need to get springs and retainers. that costs like $300+.
