H23A1-2 engines

Hallo, first to introduce my self.
The name is Dimitar, I`m from Bulgaria, Eastern Europe. The age is 24 and the car is Lude 4th gen. with engine H23A2
I try to find something about these engine but i coudn`t find my answer.
The question is: Why everybody is talking that they are very weakly engines.
The theoris i`ve heard is that it`s crank is week and the other is that they don`t have enough oil to the crank (Please excuse me for the language).
Does anyone have the answear where is the problem on these engines.

The H23A1 and H23A2 are same there is diference I think only in the ECU, more specific I think the A1 have a knock sensor and A2 have not.

Hi!
What you've heard is wrong. These engines are very durable and runs "forever".
The only problem with this engine (and almost all Japanese engines) is that they tend to leak oil after a while, and without maintenance the can fail, like any other engine.

Also, the difference between the H23A1 and the H23A2 is that the A1 was designed for the US marked, and the A2 for the European. Other than that, they're pretty much the same.

Here in my country they are famous with there weakness of the crank. And why the japanese stop to productioning it. Why there is no that engine on the fifth gen of preludes.
In our region you can find very hard turbo H23A2, because everybody says that it will not run a lot.
And for that reason I`m asking this.
