H23A VTEC from Accord wagon questions?

http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/catalo...products_id=46

I'm wondering if I can use cam sprockets, pulleys and the header I already have for my USDM H23?

This motor is OBD2 rather than OBD1

Is this an automatic tranny of manual?
Does it use the same tranny as the JDM h22 if it is manual?

I think I would pay a little extra over the JDM h22 for the extra torque and interchangeability of my H23 parts if possible.

What do you think, feasible to you?

For the 500th time, motors have nothing to do with OBD.

What about the other questions? So I would just use a P13 and plug up the second O2 sensor hole correct?

It's a manual tranny since it says it has a clutch and a flywheel. Since it says it has an LSD, I'm thinking it could be the M2B4 tranny.

just so you guys know...there was never an h23a vtec with a manual tranny, and if the seller says it has a manual tranny they are wrong. h23a vtec only cam in accord wagon, and was only available with a 4-spd auto.

basically its a h23 block with a h22 head. one of the guys in my area has one. u will need to use h22 cam gears and a h22 header. I will ask if he got a 5sp tranny with his h23a.

like dumbsick said, just because that site says so doesn't make it so. The JDM H23a were all coupled with auto transmissions.

Thats the reply I was looking for. So this engine is not worth the extra money over a JDM h22 if with this case?

well, depends, can u justify the price for a Type S motor or the h22 Euro R motor? He got his for like $2300 off ebay. Its a rare motor like the euro r. If your gonna do all motor, i think its worth it besides the braging rites. Its like people spend 5k on a Type R motor or 3500-4k on a GSR.

h23a vtec puts down alot of power, only drawback is you need to find a manual tranny for it.

There was a thread somewhere with all the specs/figures for it, and I believe it actually made LESS power than the JDM H22
