I bring her up to 6800 on the stock tach also. I am starting to get concerned after each time, though.

damn, i stopped reving past 6000 rpms after my timing belt snapped at 53k miles and bent the valves in the 2,3 and 4 cylinders, but i've witnessed at the track that i get better times shifting at 6000 than i do at 6500 to 6800 anyways. i dont think h23's like reving that high anyways

When racing, I shift just before fuel cut in 1st and a little past red in 2nd and just to red in 3rd usually. Basically I trail off in the rpms.
