H23 Performance Chips/Module

Curious whats best chip/module for the non vtec h23 application???

1. Would VFAC by apexi work even though its non vtec>

2. Jet V-force control module > any good

3. Let me know any experience with any good chips/ modules for the h23

Any tips appreciated; Thanks all!

1. VAFC will work but why not just get a SAFC because that's the VAFC without vtec (like your h23).

2. no

3. you're best bet is not getting one unless you're really serious about upgrading your h23 to need a tunable ecu, in which case you were better off going with a h22 in the first place.

The h23 can be made pretty quick, but seeing your basic knowledge of the subject I would really suggest a h22 swap.

Honestly all those are bolt ons and will do only so much. SAFC tuning is just like VAFC tuning, just go to dyno and tune for the best a/f ratio that makes the most power.

Honestly with all those mods you will still be under a strong stock h22.

well i planned to do the crower stage 1 camshaft before getting the module with the cam gears as well maybeee.... im jus curious whats the best way to go for a chip/ module/ piggyback??? it sounds like vfac or maybe the apexi neo would be the best bet for my tuning???? i know h22 r cool and have vtec... im not going that route though and i plan to build this up severly throughout time and will compete with the h22.

I say wait until you have the parts you need to build the engine. Start exploring this topic some more after you're already set with everything you need. I too shall suggest H22.

You can only do so much with bolt on parts and really they dont give much performance at all. Save your money, buy an H22, throw on all the bolt on parts you want and even a turbo and leave it alone. Either that or buy something like a stock TT 300zx and smoke a Prelude. If it were me I would just leave what you have and save my money. The chips and tuning will help a little but not really worth the money. I have an H23 and for a 4 cylinder it's a decent car with decent power but I will and would never spend a few grand on it.
