H23 Engine Knock

Any help on this topic would be much appriciated. I didn't notice anything till today, but I remember having hte same problem yesterday. Anyway, to the problem. Under a moderate to hard acceleration the whole car shakes like it's on a really bumby road. At lower RPM's it's not doing it. And as far as I can tell it's not doing it it first or 2nd, but I haven't really had a chance to test the acceleration of those gears as of yet (as I noticed the problem on the freeway). Need help! Any advice, hints or gut feelings would be helpful. Oh yeah, I don't know if this is the problem but from the research that I have done one this problem, it's looking like a cracked piston, rod, cylinder, or head. Thanks for your help!
-Joe

CEL coming on? Have you tried the RPM test standing still? If it doesn't do it while the car is motionless, it could be an engine mount issue, but something's telling me that's not it.

do the dry rev test
do the higway test, accelerate above 4k rpms starting in 2nd gear all the way to 4th gear.
if the problem happens under dry rev it could be an engine issue (h23a1 are known to spin bearings around 150k miles, understandable)
if it only happens at speed...check lug nuts, check for tire bubbles, check motor mounts for cracks in rubber, check ball joints for seepage and worn seals, check AXLES.

very often if its only at speed its a bad CV or Axle.

wouldnt expect mils on this one, definitely a mechanical prob.
