h23 cams....help

im in the market for some cams for my h23 until it dies. i dont want to have to rev to the moon to make good power. around 7500 is as high as i'll go for redline. im strongly considering webcams (www.webcaminc.com) because ive heard good stuff about them and know a guy who has some and they are nice. jg, gude, rumors of crower, and webcam are the only ones ive checked out so far. anyone else have any suggestions? id like to not have to get new springs/retainers, but if i want something with good power i'll probably have to get new ones anyways. im staying NA and my mods are as follows....

iceman intake
dc header
tanabe exhaust
msd ignition
aem pulleys
ngk wires
jun ultra lightweight flywheel (not installed yet)

if i install the cams i would also do fpr, cam gears, and hopefully new clutch and put the flywheel that i already have in.

help me out guys!

well i was thinking about gude for a while, but then i heard some negative things about them, so i'm reconsidering that. webcam i've also heard good things about. i'm pretty much in the same boat as you.

just got back from the shop and this is what they told me...

gude/bullfrog they said to stay away from. they said that in more than one case they snapped right when the car was turned on.

jg engine dynamics they said makes good sohc stuff, but their dohc stuff isnt anything to brag about.

webcams they said is your best bet. theyre priced at 295, 100 more for a custom grind which is a pretty damn good deal!

the thing is though, webcam doesnt have springs/retainers for the h23, so id have to get jg springs/retainers, which they said are good though.

get crower crower!

get the crower cams. i heard realy good things about them. and i also heard they have h22a performance cams too. i think their website has some more info... if i'm not mistaken, the current crower cams are not regrings of the OE cams, they are casted cores... so no down time, i'm not sure about the other cam people you mentioned if they regring stock cams or not. and for gude? i also heard that they make "alright power" but is unreilable.. and as far their port and polish heads? some say they suck and you should stay away from them... but just to give GUDE some credit, i have a h23a with a Gude port and polished head... and that thing rocks! it's also milled down for higher compression... i been drivng around with the gude head for like 3 years and i have NO problems.. power is great, it more torquey, revs to red light pretty damn quick.. i think i was totally worth it... so hey i guess GUDE does make something good after all... well in this case anyway...
