the vtec axle on the driver side is it a one piece? If so the part number list the same for the si but the driver side is not going in straight. Reply if you know why.
OEM your looking at 300 bux from Honda for ONE side.
I jus treplaced my driverside axel for 95 bux for a Renegade Brand (a honda mechanic recommended it to me) they take your core so it's slightly cheaper.
The boots a lot thicker then stock and the axel actually feels and looks really nice.
For a good new axle, not refurbished, check out www.raxles.com. The owners name is Marti Cook, and he is a real nice guy. He does not sell refurbed axles (they suck by the way). He only sells new rebuilt units. What I mean is the only part that is reused is the actual axle stick. he installs all new inner/outer joints, tripod, bearings, better than OEM boots, and uses the best Amsoil Synthetic grease. the price is higher than a refurbed unit, but he also has a kick ass warranty on them. I had one go bad on my old Civic after about 6 years, and he sent me a new for free. All I paid for was shipping. Check it out, great product and super customer service.
Oh yeah, he also does custom axles for hybrids as well.
