One of my friends blew his 96 S f22 motor yesterday (long story) and doesn't want to spend to much so he looking for a H23, does anyone have one and is that a hard install?

I don't think a h23 would me much less than a h22. If I were him I would just get a JDM H22.

i have an f22a laying around if we wants that.. REALLY CHEAP

as far as the h23, check the junk yards! theres two engines at one junk yard near me.

H23 would be much cheaper than a JDM h22. Your talking the diff between $500-$800 for the 2.3 VS $2200- $3000for a JDM h22.

I think some guy is selling just the h23 block with 75k miles on it on HP.com for about $600, go check it out

:edit: oh yeah the install isn't that hard. Check out the faq sticky at the top of this page for some goosd instructions

I have an F22A1 laying around too (left over from my swap). I am willing to part with it for $300 plus shipping. When I took it out it ran great. If he wants it, hit me up on email. dpuvo@yahoo.com

I have been half-assed looking for an H23 and $1800 is the price I've been quoted for the two I've gotten price quotes for.

I would definitely be interested in finding out where I can get a complete H23A1 for $500 to $800.

i might be interested in this too... i want to build up my engine but it my daily driver so i'm think h23 from a 94-95 would be my choice but not picky since i have an h23 anyhow prob just build and drop don't need to change my ecu
