h22a4 head on h23a3????

is this possible? i cant find much info on this build other than people saying that i should upgrade my rod bolts to arp or something, but i wanna keep my engine stock and just run a virgin h22 ecu so i dont put alot of stress on my engine with a high redline. im sure others have done this swap so id like to hear about it. thanks everyone!
by the way this swap would be going in my 92 prelude si 5 speed. the motor is a euro accord h23a3...same specs and design as an h23a1. transmission is an h22 lsd tranny

I cant seem to find specifics on the h23"a3" version of the block, is the EDM block and internals the same specs as the USDM/JDM h23a-1?

I know you can, people do that swap a bit for a USDM V-tec H23a1, since thats not a US oem option. Is your motor a OBD1 or OBD2 motor?

There was only a couple different heads available for the H blocks, so im pretty sure you can. But im not sure how to get the V-tec solenoid to engage with non v-tec motor, you'l need to figure that out.

all blocks regardless from where H series 92-96 blocks are all closed decks "OBD1" 97-01 blocks are open deck "OBD2".

My own opinion i say build a h22a

It is so incredibly simple, it's the same as the UDSM H23a1, many people have bought this engine in the US as it originated in the UK for the Rover. The H23ax uses the same EXACT block as the H22a, it has the oil passage for vtec, it's just blocked on the non-vtec version.
