h22a1 vs h22a???

Ok well I have a 93 VTEC with only 75,500 on it. I have read these amazing posts of people who have h22a's and pull amazing numbers on the track and dyno with little work. I was just wondering is it worth the swap, or would it be better to just add the parts/ internals to my a1?? Thanks

If you already have the USDM H22A then stick with what you have. In my opinion it's not worth the trouble to switch to JDM when you already have a great motor with low mileage.

Mod that engine and tune it and you should be more than satisfied.

I like having my USDM motor because if you are from a state like Jersey where they are getting out of hand with inspection you'd be screwed with a JDM engine.

if you want to be closer to a jdm engine put a high compression head gasket, which is thinner than stock, raising your compression...I think that the compression ratios are the big difference between the two

That's a great price. For you I mean. Wait to sell it until you already have the jspec motor though. (duh!)

Only diff form the JDM is mainly compression. Dont spend a couple G's just for something u can do for way cheaper. Jdm's arnt that much faster than a 4th gen vtec..just the 5th

id have to totally disagree, my good freid chris has a usdm 4th gen with one more mod than me and we ran a third gear roll, and i ate him up..and he could always sell his USDM motor for basically what it would cost get his jdm motor, and he also could keep his tranny just do the long block...but he could find one with LSD too, anyways..and its not like my motor is freak, hell 4bidden was running very similar times to mine, alterd4s brother is running lower 13s with blot ons in his jdm h22..and alterd to my knowledge is the fastest USDM 4th gen..i know VeeTec ran a 13.7 in his USDM, but overall i believe the JDM is stronger, maybe the US version is overrated?? i dunno...or maybe take your us version ans put in some type S internals, since they will work with the cylinder liners ect...but just my 2 cents
