h22a valves not seating

So my friends got a used h22 head,When he got it we flipped it over and poured solvent in the combustion chamber to see if the valves were leaking since they had some carbon build up and cylinder 4 had a leak on the exhaust valve,We since decided to clean the valves and change the valve guide seals why we were at it,After reinstalling the valves and top end things we did a leak down test and found all the valves to be leaking slightly,Now all we did was basically clean up the old ones and reinstall them like the chilton says too so what happened? Will they seat themselves after the cars been driven for X amount of miles? Is there a valve sealer compound or somthing we shoulda used?Ima check the valve lash clearance tomarrow I guess but what do you guys think please let me know thank you.

I have never re-built a head on an h22 but when i re-built a 91 honda prelude with a b21a1, the intake and exhaust springs cannot be mixed up when putting back together. (spring pressure is different from intake and exhaust) also, make sure your not putting the springs upside down.
