H22A tranny

my synchros are shot to hell and back (being at 202k). in your opinions, would it be more efficient to buy a new or used transmission or rebuild my current transmission. i'm sure this has been discussed previously but my access to the internet is limited ATM. if anyone has any links for used or rebuilt trannys, it would be greatly appreciated.

thx in advance.

If all your synchros are gone, you really should buy an new tranny. If it's just one or two of them, you can replace them. It also depends on whether or not you want to do the work on your own.

UPDATE: my mechanic is a god!

a loose hairpin in my clutch was causing my clutch to half-way engage. at 203,000 miles (as of today) my transmission is running in very smooth order. everything seems to be fine and i really lucked out!

if anyone is in atlanta, sam @ tiger racing works wonders. =)
