H22A Thermostats

Those things are huge compared to a H22A1 Thermostat! I went to go switch mines today at Kragens, they gave me a small one (54mm I think it was). I took it back, went to pep boyz, other places that have it down on their comptuer, and they would all give me the same one. I tried to put a 64mm thermostat in but it seemed just a tad too big.

Anyways, anyone know the correct size? Or where to buy one from? Not that I really NEED one anymore (just using my old one) but was curious ..

thanks

Its a 64mm. I had to use a lower temperature one ~ 170. I went with the Stant 170 Degree thermostat. Part #35127. It worked well with mine. Also you would need another gasket. Naked without the gaskets. The 64mm and OEM will be identical in size. Also the OEM gasket will fit over the 64mm non-oem thermostat. Though the non-oem thermostat will have a smaller nose. I just swapped my thermostats today. Just make sure that on the gasket, there is those two dimples that will fit into the connections. I wish I had taken pictures to explain what I was talking about.

Good Luck

I know what you're talking about, I guess I wasn't patient enough, I still have the 64 mm..but I don't feel like going in there anymore if the current one still works (I thought it was bogus, but it wasnt the problem) I guess I'll keep that 64 till I need it again. Thanks for the info

I kind of edited my post late. But Stant Part # 35127 will fit. It fit mine I was kind of freaking out at first. But Checker/Kragen was nice to take the time to help me out.
