H22A Swap question

Hi, I was attending a swap session with a couple friends a bit ago and there came a problem. Apparently the Long block that we recieved just came with the top portion of the header. Well, we tried to get the H23 downpipe to bolt up but it seemed pretty far fetched to reach. I wanted to know if anyone had that problem when they were working on a H22 swap into a 4th gen. Thanks for replies!

yea... you can't use your H23 exhaust manifold at all.. not even the flex pipe... what most people end up doing is get a set of headers... I remember my friend did a H22 swap on his friend's 4th gen.. and he ran straight exhaust manifold for a while... lol

No thats wrong ^^ You can use the bottom portion of your h23 exhaust manifold with the upper portion from the h22. You have to notch the 2 bottom corners so you can bolt it on. This is all you have to do

This is a good thing to know, I am preparing to do a JDM H22 swap from my H23 and would have run into the same problem.

Thanks for the heads-up, I was really curious how it would work out. I'll be working on my H22 swap as soon as it gets warmer outside.
