trans should work, you'll need a different ECU, intake and exhaust manifolds if the new motor doens't come with them, and a little bit of patience...I believe you can use the same motor mounts? but I've yet to have to do a motor swap, so I dunno for sure.

Good news is...there are probably plenty of people on here doing the opposite swap so you can probably pick up anything you need for pretty cheap.

Everything bolts right up, wiring and all, you'll just have the 2 extra plugs for the VTEC. Only thing you'll need is the computer, the H23a1 isn't as powerful or high revving as the H22a1 though so this will be a downgrade.

^ whatever he said, except it's not a downgrade, it's just different. It depends what you wanna do. There are some things H23 can do that H22 can't.

Definitely not a downgrade.

^You can say that if you want but my car used to have an H23a1 until I swapped it. The difference in the 0.1 extra displacement is not noticeable but the fall off of power at 6k with the h23a1 is.

OP, if you have the money just get another H22, you'll be much happier.

Like I said, there's things that H23 can do that H22 can't.

One of those things is better acceptance of turbo and superchargers.

All depends on what you wanna do. Not a downgrade by any means.

If you're asking those questions then you shouldn't boost it, at least not until you have a good amount of money and knowledge.
