h22a or h23a vtec

a little background:
i bought this 4th gen 92lude(feb 2010) w/ blown headgasket or crackhead ( oil and coolant mixing in both radiator and engine). i got it for cheap . lol
before i bought this i had my mind set on swapping a h22
plan was to do the swap at my auto class but they change the policy and the biggest job i can bring is a timing belt which blows .i got pretty choke and my instructor notice it i guess.lol so his lending me a cherry picker and torque wrenches.
if i only knew this was gonna happen shoulda done the swap earlier instead of waiting .lol o well
so i went to the jap import/wrecker last week to check out the motor
and they got h22a 7-800$ f20b 8-1000$ h23vtec 1100-1200$ cad$
when i was doing research i didnt really pay attention to the h23vtec bc i thought there expensive like the h22 type s almost
i was expecting atleast a geeno for h22 and 2g's for the h23 vtec
heres what i think i know h22 is the easiest to swap
h23vtec is obd2,lower redlne
is it worth it to swap an h23 what problems do you think ill incounter

thanks

Rumor has it that timing belts for the H23vtec are difficult to come by. Something to consider.... If you want to find out any more info about the H23vtec, you are in the wrong place. Try Honda-tech. If ease of doing the swap and finding replacement parts are a concern, just get the H22a.
