h22a external ignition coil bracket?

hey i have a h22a swap.and i wanna know where every one puts there external coil. i bought the bracket from majestic but i dont see how it connects to the motor. if anyone can take pictures of your h22 with it that would help (especially where it is connected to the motor) or a suggestion on where i should put it. BUT, i prefer it to be in the stock location. thanks again folks.

most ppl just ziptie it somewhere

you can buy the bracket but you have to custom mount it or something. 71dsp did one swap and actually got it to look just like stock, i forgot how though. you might want to ask him

i mean if you are a stickler for this kinda thing, by all means go for it, but most h22a swaps are just ziptied (i actually left mine just sitting there on a bundle of other stuff for awhile)

still works

I think what I did when I did my swap was use the bracket that usually holds the vtec solenoid electrical connector. I don't remember where we got the nut and bolt from, possibly from the old engine, but the electrical connector bracket has a square hole that the bolt fit through so it seems to work fine. I will try and take a picture sometime for you if you want.

From what I understand, you can use the thermostat housing off an H23 as thats what the ignition coil bracket bolts on to.

^^that looks like it is using the stock bracket from a USDM H22 though.
There are a lot of interesting things gong on in there too...

Here are some pictures of what I ended up doing:
Here is the bracket, it has a place for the vtec solenoid connector and also holds a ignition wire separator:

Here's one that shows the loose nut and bolt that holds the coil to the bracket:

These two are just from different angles:

Hope that helps you some...
