okay for starters i'm new to this forum, i stumbled upon it while i was looking for info bout distributors. (wish i fould it sooner but ohwell.)

anyway 2 days ago my distributor **** itself and im looking into replacing it. mechanic said it would cost me round $600 ausd. to get it done but ive seen on ebay that some guy in the U.S is selling the exact one i need for $120 usd. The mechanic thinks that they are cheap ones made in china that are just straight up **** and will cause more problems.

Personally, I went with one from eBay Store - DISTRIBUTOR KING: Chromed Housing Distributors, Acura, Honda

I ran it for a over 6 months, then I *may* have fried it when I tried to hook up an MSD ignition box I had lying around. I called them up and they exchanged it for a new one, no questions asked. So far the replacement has over 35k miles on it and its been fine. Good luck!

thanks for the tip but im just gonna get the mechanic to just throw in a 2nd hand one which is pretty much brand new for 350 .

$350 aud for a "pretty much brand new" distributor!??! Is the lube included? Seriously, you can just buy one and slap it on yourself for nearly 1/3 of that price
