Shouldn't really be that difficult. Find a good JDM importer and work a deal

Seriously: Why bother? I don't think an Auto H22 will be much faster than an auto H23.

surprisingly the auto h22 is much better than the SS ludes. i know of someone that ran 15.0-15.1 with a auto h22 swapped into a 4 door ex acccord which is over 3,000lbs. it would be a nice swap if you want to remain auto.

Well his engine might have lotsa miles on it and if he's goin replace it might as well go h22a right? Well since your auto now it would be a drop-in. When I had my Si auto I thought about the same thing, figured they would be at least as fast as the 98-02 v6 accords, or about the same as an Si manual Anyways I'll help ya out look on eBay they always have h22a auto engines there, cheaper too than the manual. But jus be careful on eBay...

i am selling my JDM auto H22 tranny and ECU...but i was in the same spot as you acouple months ago...EVERYONE here told me not to get the auto because it is sllllllllloooooowwww...after all that said it done i got the auto swap done anyway...i am running around (but not exact) high 14s-low 15s...here is another good thing i didnt think about until i bought the swap...an auto swap will have most likely been beaten less because "who races autos anyway" so the motor will have a better chance of not being abussed as the 5 speed would

if you are interested in my auto setup send me a PM but i highly recommend it to anyone that wants it...there is a huge difference between the auto h23 and the auto h22 and you wont be upset with your outcome

You may have some torque converter issues? I don't know if anyone can confirm that...

my 2nd JDM engine was from an auto. And as mentioned above its harder to abuse an auto. That engine was STRONG. I personally would go with the manual but do what you want. As for the engine. Dont get a Manual engine caus the throttle has a second cable connected to it. You dont wana swap the throttle. Any time you wana switch to manual you still can.

I stay auto because i don't have enough money to totally convert my car over to manual and i am either going to rebuild my h23a with a bigger bore, etc or i am going to buy a new engine.

its not very hard at all to convert your car over to manuals...seriously..the holes and everything are already there for the clutch pedal ect, if you got an entire front clip, you be golden, youd get JDM guages, steering wheel, lights, engine and everything youd possibly need to swap, something you might want to look into....also SI Ludester..you beat a 03 GT from a stop? if you did good job, but those cars are no joke, i barely beat them..like 1 car if that..and im running 13.7s....you sure it was a GT? might have been an anniversary edition...peace

PreludeRacer is right, the auto to 5-spd swap is not that hard if you have all the pieces and knowledgable people doing the job...If you buy a whole front clip with the H22 in it, then you would be set!
