H22 knock question - Does it have one?

I was just checking hondaautomotiveparts.com looking for the knock sensor on the on the cylinder block-oil pan and it doesn't show a knock sensor in the diagram ..

Which makes me wonder if I should even bother hooking up the knock sensor on my 4gen with JDM H22A which is throwing the code 23 (knock sensor) ...

I'm going to be replacing my O2 sensor tomorrow that I have a feeling also has something to do with things but ... wtf is the diagram on hondaautomotiveparts?

part 1 (slightly SE of center)

30530-PV1-A01 - Sensor assembly, knock

... sneaky little bastard, eh?

on hap it was under sub cord/clamp, in sl it was under engine, then sub cord/clamp. Replace it if it's bad, that sensor is there for a mighty good reason

The knock sensor is above the oil psi sensor.

About 6 inches above the oil filter IIRC

I know where it is located, it was broken on my H22 so i replaced it with the one from my H23 .. but now im getting code 23 .. could be my o2 sensor but .. meh, ill get it sorted.

Actually, while this thread is going .. does anybody know the easiest way to remove the knock sensor from the engine in the car ? .. is it just a 22mm or whatever socket ? its so tight, I took off the IM and used a fat 1 1/16 wrench to swap it between blocks when I changed it ...

your bolts at honda ***** ... crowfoot honda .. i wont be able to make it up there til next week .. you should think about buying my manual tensioner off my h23 . im gonna part it out :P

I need to order a hood hinge (pass side) and then ill get it

oh yeah .. NO MORE CHECK ENGINE CODES.. replaced my o2 sensor.. I think that the bracket going from IM to the block (for support) that the o2 sensor clips onto, it was loose .. I think it was rattling enough to set off the knock sensor ... tightened that **** up, made sure my plug for the vtec selenoid was in there nice n tight and now no codes..

That was the 3 of em, 41 o2 sensor, 23 knock, and 21 selenoid .. woohoo!

a lil more responsive, but still a 2.2 ... theres no replacement for displacement..

revving to 8k is cool and all, but if I had VAFC and lowered vtec engage with an F22 /H23 crank/rods ... live would be gravy.
