h22 head on h23 block

Any1 have any comments or suggestions for taking an h23 block and putting an h22 head on it with v-tec? Has any1 tryed this b4? Anything i should know about it?

yes, it has been done. but it takes alot of work and money, really you better off with just the h22.

well the h23 is what i have right now, im not worried about the money or the work, what i want is something not many ppl are willing to do, something u don't hear about alot. Also, the swap is known as an accord type-r.

No, the accord r has its own 2.3L vtec, its code is H23a rather than H23a1 and has a blue valve cover. You could either buy that motor, it goes for around $1600 for just the engine or you could spend the time making the frankenstein swap, there's a writeup in the faq forum on it. Doing the H23a swap from the accord r would be the more unique and easier choice, only a few have done it I believe.
