h22<h23

Hey, im not completely new to the prelude scene but ill admit there is a lot i dont know. I have a blown h22 in my 93vtec prelude and i was wondering what i would need to do to put a h23 in its place... What else will need replacing if any?

In answer to the question, I don't think anything except maybe take out the ECU as well. I've had little success discerning if there is a difference between the USDM ECU for the H22 and the H23 (ie. finding part numbers / codes) at the same time though, I haven't put much effort into the search, hence why I'm not sure.

Otherwise, it fits in the exact same place with the exact same mounts and all.

The H23 uses the P14 ecu. H22 uses the P13.

haha imma do the opposite as you are i have a blown h23a1 and most likely imma change it out sometime this week i hope for an h22 vtec and from what my friend told me all you need to change is the ECU thats it everything else should be the same

Swap the engine, swap the ecu, put on h23 radiator hoses.
