my friend told me that i need to change my custom shocks to aftermaket because i have my car lowered with H & R sport swings. he said my custom shocks will got problem sooner or later. I wanna know if that's true. anyone has aftermarket swings and custom shocks? any problem you guys have? any suggestion?
i have 17" enkei rim wraped with yokohoma. the front has 2 1/2 fingers gap and rear has 3 fingers gap.
thanks
Well you can use your stock shocks with lowering springs. You have to cut a part of them off to get it to ride correctly. If not you will mash up the shocks and they are trashed!

Depends how much you are dropped. On H&R sports you don't cut the bump stops according to the install sheet that it comes with. Stock shocks wear out faster with lowering springs though because of the stiffer spring rate so once they wear out your ride will be bad. You will need to get new aftermarket shocks sooner or later.
oh... i see... well, i hope my stock shocks will last for another three to four months. Then, i'll change them to some aftermarket.
What kind of aftermarket shocks you guys suggest that's good to go with my H & R sport? What's the lowest price to get and where to get them?? I have dont some research on it and the cheapest one I got is $75 each for Tokico.
Go with kyb agx's. i guess you are talking about tokico blues for that price? the kyb's are nice because they are adjustable so you can adjust them from a nice soft ride to stiff for a mountain road or autocross. they run about 350 shipped.
some e-bayers sellings KYG AGX for $250. They say those are brand new. Is that possible? i've checked most of the web sites that i possible know of and those are around $320 plus shipping. really worry about buying fade and broken stuff. i think i may still end up with the $320. anyone has experience with those $250 e-bay AGX shocks? Are they real? thanks for the imput!
Not to be a pain or anything, but can you PLEASE take your time when writing your posts. It took me a half an hour to read this thread.
Like previously mentioned, go with the Koni Adjustables or the Kyb's. These are good choices because of the adjustability they provide. Another good choice are Tokico's, that's what my new Mazdaspeed Protege is coming with
