The GS-R ECU has saturated injector drivers. Your car has peak and hold injectors. I'm surprised that it works at all. With the severe, way out of spec current draw you are placing on the injector driver, the ECU will likely overheat and burn out in a short amount of time.

Also, it has been pretty well documented that the P72 ECU runs way too lean to safely be used on an H22a without being reprogrammed. So in addition to the real possiblility of frying the P72 ECU, you have a very good chance at getting a significant amount of detonation, which can result in shattered pistons, bent rods, holes in blocks, etc.

hook that P72 up too a hondata and she'll be running like a charm... HP + TQ curve will look much better. I'll let you know how my swap turns out.

Hmm......I think you can safely run the P&H injectors on the P72 if you keep the resistor pack inline with the resistors, because that should bring up the resistance and keep you from frying the ECU. That's what I did when I swapped in a P72 to test it out. Worked fine that way.

But you do run the engine lean down low, so I would get a VAFC to richen it up abit. If you look a at dyno plot you see how the P72 lags down low and makes good power up top.

Best bet is getting Hondata on it, then you'll be set. Or atleast a VAFC.

Eddie can you explain this resistors pack vs. resistors? I want to test one on a 4th gen but I don't want to fubar his car. Within the stock Prelude setup is the resistor pack in line with the resistors?

the ecu satan has worked awesome on my 92 with the jdm h22 swap... now the p72 he had was chipped with the mugen spec chip.. and the i noticed a considerble gain... the car pulled alot harder through teh entire rpm range.... and the low spot you see on the dyno chart is not noticable at all... i want one now...

we are going to the track next week... see what kinda numbers it produces... either in his car or mine... we will post up the results im sure...
