Great looking low cost air box intake

I don't like it. Doesn't really serve any purpose I guess since it still sucks in the hot air from the engine compartment.

Yes but. The front end can easily be neatly closed off and a hole cut in the bottom. Besides being inexpensive, it looks like a well made item.

You could make something similar to this yourself for much les than $90. I wanted to make one out of a type-s intake box and some new piping, but I don't see why companies like comptech don't make their "ice boxes" for our cars, it really pisses me off cause they have a really nice product.

I totally agree with you. I would just like to have something that not only works great but looks good. The Lude must just be so nearly perfect in most manufacturers minds that they think we don't need any aftermarket performance parts.
