it's not too hard to make one, just dissasemble the brake light and trim out a little piece of black plastic to go over it, may wanna clean it before u use it
^^ minor differences, obviously one of them is the super lame JDM third brake light, which doesn't really light up when you apply the brakes, unless of course you do what i did and take the time to heat up and peel away all the thick adhesive on the back which separates the red brake lens on your 3rd brake light from the black backing which has the green 'Prelude' inset. Of course after all that heating and peeling, you now have a light which violates traffic and safety regulations and no longer shines red when you apply the brakes. Just tell the judge it was JDM and I'm sure they'll waive the ticket My advice: sell it on eBay to some ricer and make 30 or 40 bucks
no, it doesn't flash, what it is, from front to back is piece of clear plastic, followed by a black backing with 'Prelude' cut out in the center, followed by a piece of green material adhered to it, and last, on the very back of it is a thick layer of rubber-like adhesive which is supposed to stick to the red lens on your 3rd brake light. Now, with all this, what you have is basically a cutout which blocks all but a tiny amount of light from your 3rd brake light. I had to peel away the adhesive so that light could actualy shine through the green layer and the black layer so you can actually see the 'Prelude' when you apply your brakes. In short, unless you do what I did, it doesn't shine, it's just a cover for the brake light. And if you do what I did, it's still not legal, and it's one more excuse to get you pulled over.
Hmmm sounds pretty easy to build. I should make the word VTEC instead of Prelude on the light. Then make it so when VTEC engages, it lights up and as I am passing my opponent on the strip he will know why lol.

... then when, on your way home, a cop gives you a ticket because your third brake light isn't lighting up, you'll know why
^^ I don't think it matters... does it? a bunch of cars on the road don't have a third brake light
after a certain year it was required, where they don't have it on the window they'd have it on a spoiler, or vice versa. I'm not saying that it's guaranteed that you'll get one, but it's one more thing a cop will look at when he sees "some kid in his hopped up car" at a stop light or in the process of braking. At night, it's amplified. All I'm saying is buying one, going through the thumb pains of peeling all the goop off just so you can sport your little green 'Prelude' on the 3rd brake light and be extra JDM isn't worth even the chance of getting pulled over and getting a ticket for. Instead of buying one, just spend that 30 or 40 bucks on something useful, like a set of motor mount inserts from ES.
