Got my H22A tuned

I picked up a VAFC2 and got it installed and tuned by my tuner Dr Drift. I am pretty pleased by the results. Just ignore the actuall HP figure since his dyno seemed to be give low numbers all day.

Here is he dyno chart comparison of the baseline and the fully tuned. Vtec crossover point was set to 4900 after much experimentation to find the best point without bogging and too much of a drop while between the efficiency ranges of both high and low cam profiles.

Here is a chart of the final tunes and the AFR. My tuner tends to tune on the safe side hence the AFR being just under 13:1

The car feels great to drive now. Its more responsive and it now pulls to the redline/cutout without tailing off. The low end torque has also improved.

Click HERE for a video of the tuning process. 6.6% gain in peak power isn't bad for just AFR tuning (and the ignition advance that comes with altering MAP sensor values). The peak power RPM point has also moved up, there is less drop off just before the high cam comes in. My tuner used a Motec wideband o2 which was stuck in my tail pipe. He's running quite a bit of correction up top, I think it was running low 12:1 AFR stock.

My mods are CAI intake and header, stock cat back and a 65mm TB.

Hahah yeah, and its also quite normal that US dynos are more flattering

I knew something was up when a stock S15 put out 100kw or 136hp.

But dynos are just tuning tools and you can't compare numbers from different dynos or even same dyno on a different day.
